- Children of teen mothers are also at great risk for a number of economic, social, and health problems.
- 22% of children born to teen mothers are more likely to become teen mothers themselves.
- Compared to children with older mothers,teen mothers are twice as likely to be abused and neglected.

Thanks to Tenille, the outreach efforts that I have so desired to provide for women and children has taken its form and have started at a local shelter in Brooklyn, NY.

I have a special place in my heart for teenage mothers, as I gave birth to my only daughter 30 days after graduating high school. Today, I have a Degree in Psychology and a Business Degree in Human Services Management. The daughter I gave birth to is a physician at one of the nation's leading Children's Hospitals.
I made it out BIG TIME and so can you...
In this workshop and luncheon I will have open discussion with teenagers regarding how to positively impact their future despite premature decisions to become a mother. Mothers register your daughters, aunties register your nieces... Help them, help themselves as they attempt to positively shape the next generation!

Raising a Dr.: The 5 Triumphs of a Black Mother
As some may know, my daughter is soon to be Chief Resident of a Leading Children’s Hospital. As a teenage mother I was concerned with how to bring the best out in her. At her preschool graduation she was asked, “what would you like to be when you grow up,” she responded, ”a doctor.” At this time, no one in my family had graduated college so this could have looked like “wishes of a child.” In this 2 day workshop I will share with you the five triumphs that lead to my success.

In this workshop we will discuss the necessary elements for making it through the early years of marriage. Like other areas of growth in life, there are stages of development. Each previous stage serves as a strength prerequisite for subsequent stages. Marriage is very similar. There are benchmarks to focus on in each stage that makes latter stages pleasantly doable.
